Matt and Jojang

Dear Family and Friends,

I would like to think that this year is an encouraging one for us.

True, we started the year with our continuous struggle with Matthew’s asthma since he had to be brought numerous times to the emergency again. And one time, he had to be confined. However during the latter part of the year, Matthew’s health was gaining ground. In fact, just a few weeks ago, it was exhilarating for us when Matthew was able to walk around SM, a mall here at Baguio City. Something he has never done in years. Slowly but surely his health is taking great strides. I know that sooner than we think, Matthew’s full recovery is on its way.

What seems to be a source of great excitement for both of us this year, is our blog. We never realized that in a span of a little over a year, we were going to get more than 18,000 hits! We both thought of coming out with one, as a sort of “therapy” for Matthew’s illness. We also wanted to have a venue where we could share inspirational quotes, excerpts, stories, and our writings. The blog was quite helpful for Matthew ‘coz even if he spends most of his time at home, he is able to be positively busy. However, little did we know that we were going to touch so many lives as well.

We look forward to the year ahead with so much promise. And we can hardly wait for life’s events to unfold.

Here’s wishing you all reading this blog, A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

May the good Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine on you and give you peace!

  1. Dear Matt and Jojang,

Thanks you for the beautiful message of Christmas. It reminded me once again of the Infant Jesus that we wil be celebrating again. He has come to us to be the voice of God and Mary is the perfect expression of His Word. May I would be the expression of these Words of Jesus this Christmas on this little corner of this world that I am living on.

May the Blessings of Christmas be on your Family,

  2. Dear Matt & Jojang:

We may struggle, but we remain hopeful at all times.
    We maybe sad at times
but the laughter outweigh the sad times.
As we ponder how we have survived the times,
We all conclude in the end,
    indeed the God we know,
    is the BIGGER GOD
    that watches over us!
Because HE LOVES us more than we love HIM!
Merry Christmas, friends – ths is AGAR to u b4!

    In Christ,

    Grace Agar

  4. Dear Matt and Jojang,

The Lord is good and merciful. He will always help us.
We have similar predicament with the illness of your tito Mike. We just have to be strong in our faith and this will provide us with resiliency in our struggle to be strong and provide us with a peace of mind and patience to meet our problems.
Let us pray for one another.
May you have abundant blessings from the Lord.

  5. Happy sixth day of Christmas! The family has come and gone, the house is back to some form of normalcy and I have some time to visit my favorite blogs with greetings for the New Year.

I’m so glad I found you this year. Best wishes for the months to come, and every good wish for continued improvement in your health, Matt. A cousin-in-law who visited over the holiday struggles with asthma, and it isn’t an easy path.

    Blessings to you!

  6. Thank you, Linda. Best wishes for you, too, for the coming year…

Christmas is indeed a time for family. Although, for me and Jojang, it’s been a quiet Christmas for the past years since my mom, siblings, nephews, and nieces have all migrated to the US. But thanks to advances in computer and information technology it’s now quite easy for us to be in touch with them.

Praying that you’ll have a grace-filled year ahead of you. God bless!
