Cosmic Origami

Even empty space has a kind of structure, and we don’t understand that at all. In fact, most of us would guess that empty space does have a structure but on a tiny, tiny scale. There’s fascinating ideas and one of the fascinating ideas is that if you could chop up space on a very tiny scale, you would find that what we think of as just a little point in space is actually a tightly wrapped origami of extra dimensions over and above the three that we are familiar with.

  1. Space and deep-space photography is simply stunning. Unbelievable, I suppose, at least to me. This is gorgeous, and the concept is beyond my comprehension. I’m perfectly happy to let people think all this “just happened”, but as for me, I’d rather just admire the handiwork and praise the Maker. πŸ˜‰

  2. “Awesome” is the word i would use for the photo as well as the quote! That’s why I couldn’t resist posting both the photo and the quote.

No matter what beliefs we have, it is undeniable that the universe is full of mystery and wonder. Personally, it leaves me speechless. and as a person of faith reminds me that every created thing, from the largest galaxy to the smallest atom, reflects the glory, power, and wisdom of God. The Psalms put it so beautifully: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
