Christmas Letter 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

It has been a tumultuous year for Matthew and myself. We had a roller coaster ride of highs and lows which felt like it would never end. You see, for the past two years we were carrying a burden which seemed unsolvable. Suffice it to say that we tried everything we can to find solutions, but we always end up sad, stressed and frustrated. Quite recently, in the most unexpected way, our prayer was answered miraculously.

God is good indeed.

Like how our life has been for the past 13 years since we’ve been married, the Lord has never failed to reassure us that our life is indeed in His hands. Each time He reassures us that our seemingly insurmountable challenges are actually faith building experiences that brings us from glory to glory.

God is good indeed.

Of course, we cannot end this letter without mentioning our blog. Now on its seventh year, we have grown to have 283 followers and have reached 300,258+ hits. It’s edifying to know that many people appreciate our posts, and our cyber community has grown.

2016 is a new beginning for us. As God leads us, we trust that He will continue to be with us every step of the way.

May the forgiving spirit of Him to whom we dedicate this season prevail again on earth.
May hunger disappear and terrorists cease their senseless acts.
May people live in freedom, worshiping as they see fit, loving others.
May the sanctity of the home be ever preserved.
May peace, everlasting peace, reign supreme.

We pray that Christ will be alive for you this Christmas and all throughout the New Year ahead.

–Matthew and Jojang

  1. After a long year for myself as well, it’s good to remember that in a land far from both of us, a long time ago in a dirty shed, a light appeared in the form of a child in who’s hands lay the power to cast the stars across the night’s sky. I’m sure he will guide you again in the new adventure of the new year and all the other things that will be new for you both.

God bless you and guide both, you always remain in my prayers

  2. Such wonderful wishes, expressed near the end of your letter. I suspect most people in the world would join with you. And it’s good to hear that resolution for some problems has come. Patience is a virtue, but it’s not always an easy virtue! Best wishes for the coming year. I hope it’s filled with ever more peace, and joy. Merry Christmas!

  3. Thank you for the kind words, Senan.

The seasons of Advent and Christmas are indeed times for hope and joy for each of us. Waiting for the coming of the Christ gives us an expectant hope that His presence will surely comfort and guide us through the twists and turns of life. He is Emmanuel, “God with us,” who is born anew in our hearts each Christmas season. May his peace and love reign in our strife-ridden and war-torn society.

Likewise, I and Jojang always remember you in our prayers.

Praying for God’s choicest blessings to fill your life…

  4. Indeed, I wish most people in the world would join us in our Christmas wishes, Linda. Lately, the threat of global terrorism and global warming is filling my days with trepidation and fear. But the Advent and Christmas seasons is a time to remember that Christ’s coming is always a source of hope and joy. In spite of the indications of the contrary, somehow and mysteriously, in the end Christ will wipe every tear in our eyes and help us overcome the challenges of life. He is Emmanuel – “God with us” – whose presence will light our way and fill our hearts with love.

Wishing you and your loved ones and Grace-Filled Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
